HAWAII

U.S. NATIONAL PARKS

Spanning vast and varied landscapes, the 63 National Parks of the United States showcase some of the world’s most dramatic natural scenery and ecological diversity. In the far northwest, Denali National Park in Alaska represents remoteness of America’s wilderness, anchored by North America’s tallest peak. Along the Pacific Coast, Olympic National Park in Washington combines rainforest, old growth forest, rugged coastline, and alpine scenery, while Yosemite National Park in California is known for its granite cliffs, and waterfalls. In the Southwest, Zion National Park in Utah features towering red sandstone canyons, while farther east Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming is defined by geothermal pools and roaming wild buffalo. At Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado visitors can see snow-capped peaks, even in summer. And in the eastern U.S., Great Smoky Mountains National Park spans Tennessee and North Carolina, offering misty ridgelines and dense forests.
